Love, Always

“Love, always,” I said.

Now till my deathbed.

Always,

means never mislead,

even if tears shed.

Heart hazed

from pain or joy fed,

love stays.

Poetic Form #40: Lai

A lai form is a nine-line poem or stanza that uses an "a" and "b" rhyme following
the pattern: aabaabaab. The lines with an "a" rhyme use 5 syllables; 
the "b" rhymes have 2 syllables.
